Demystifying Fibromyalgia; Faith, Hope and Help

Do you know someone who has been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia?  Are you struggling to be supportive, but frankly don’t understand what this diagnosis means?  Perhaps you are personally affected, and you are at a loss about how to understand it, let alone explain fibromyalgia to others.

What was your reaction when your loved one was told to go home and decide what they can “give up” to preserve energy or reduce pain?  Some days they seem fine; what’s up with that?  Why can’t they just “buck up” and be like that every day?

Chances are, you are both hanging on to the end of your rope and there is no rescue in sight!  “Why do I feel so bad?”  When the diagnosis is delivered there is a name, but, frequently no education about how to cope.

Good news! Mary’s life journey has taken her through 26 years since her fibromyalgia diagnosis, during which time she has achieved pinnacles of success and depths of despair.  Both extremes can totally wipe out someone with an auto-immune disease.

Listen as Mary recounts her best tips, knowledge, and philosophy about dealing with daily life when life doesn’t deal you the best hand.  Join Mary as she connects the dots that led her to a deeper understanding of what caused her crash that lasted six months, and how she recovered her useful life.
